I saw the machine in high school. Not metaphorically. I mean I could literally see it. A system built to consume and drain you just enough that you still have a sense of freedom — but that freedom comes at the cost of your life. Working to make someone else's dreams real. Accepting a mentality that says you are a number. A dispensable number that can be replaced by another number. And you better be happy about it too, or you are not a good fit. I saw all of that at 16 and thought — not me. But the machine almost got me anyway. In my early 20s I found my first taste of a life not governed by social standards. I spent about four years in the unlicensed wellness sector. No boss. No clock to punch. No one looking down their nose at me. Just freedom — raw, real, and eye opening. It was my first proof that another way was possible. Then I jumped back in. Smiled through it. Worked underpaid and overqualified for years, doing what you are supposed to do. Until my mid 30s when everything cracked open at once. My relationship ended. I walked away from my job at Whole Foods. And I drove to the next state over to sit with Ayahuasca. That was the real beginning. Since then I have been following my intuition. Miles and miles walked one baby step at a time. No map. No guarantee. Just the deep knowing that I deserve a life I actually chose. My life has layers upon layers. Each one deep or crazy or both. There is so much underneath and behind this story that a single article cannot hold it. But here is where I am now. I am building something I believe in, with a woman I love deeply. Moving from a life not thought to be worth anything to a life of intentional living, gratitude, achievement, and contentment. For myself. And for everyone ready to do the same. That is what Sovereignty Academy is. It is not a course platform. It is the map I wish I had.
